About the event
As the America 250 DeKalb initiative illustrates the ways in which the eloquent lines of the Declaration of Independence still impact the human spirit and the political principles of this country, each City Council meeting in 2026 will begin with a brief reference to people who have put service to the American ideals of liberty and equality above self.
